Construction Inspection Services Anne Arundel County Road Resurfacing Program

Provide construction inspection services for road resurfacing / reconstruction projects approved under the Pavement Management Division’s Capital Program in Anne Arundel County. AmDyne, in a Joint Venture with KCI Technologies provided construction inspection services for various resurfacing/reconstruction programs and condition ratings for pavement and masonry programs. The Inspection Services Program includes: rating one-third of all county road segments (approximately 2,200 segments per year), inspection for the current fiscal year Resurfacing/Reconstruction Capital Projects, and providing construction inspection services for special projects related to asphalt/concrete, masonry, resurfacing, permanent patching and reconstruction projects.

On Call Construction Management & Inspection Services for Maryland Transit Administration

Provide supplemental construction inspection personnel with proper technical training and skill level for assignments to provide inspection, survey and design services for the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA). Provide an assistant safety manager and safety inspector to the MTA office of construction to assist the safety manager develop and monitor Construction Safety Compliance. These positions requires a working knowledge of the Contract PSP, the Contractor Safety Plan and OSHA Standard 29 CFR Part 1926.The positions provides assistance to the MTA safety manager by reviewing and amending Daily Safety Checklists to make them applicable to current projects, identifies forms and reports required by Contract Documents. Our staff attends project Monthly Safety Meetings and is the “first point of reference” for Construction Staff on safety related issues.

Construction Management & Inspection Services Maryland Port Administration

AmDyne provides a variety of Construction Management and Inspection services to the Maryland Port Administration. Some tasks to date include: Relocation of a Fueling Island which included the removal and replacement of the fuel storage tanks and the installation of an oil/water separator; Shed 5A demolition includes asbestos abatement, the complete dismantling of the building, the concrete floor and foundation; Comprehensive Paving inspection, scheduling, and documentation,  repair and installation of storm water structures, and Berth repairs; Various types of excavation and dewatering inspection; Review plans and Health and Safety Plan (HASP); Rubber Tire Gantry Crane New Concrete Runways; Repair the water main in Baltimore Harbor and construction of a cofferdam that will form a permanent retention structure to contain dredged material from the Harbor.

Arundel Center Annapolis, MD

AmDyne Corporation is providing Construction Management/Inspection Services for the construction of the Arundel Center – Council Chambers located at 44 Calvert Street, Annapolis, MD in Anne Arundel County. A large portion of the project includes replacement water source heat pumps, installation of energy management system, installation of new condensation piping, installation of new duct work, replacement of ceiling tiles, replacement of a closed circuit cooling tower, boilers and pumps will be accomplished during nights and on weekends.

South County Library Renovations Anne Arundel County

As part of our open-end contract with Anne Arundel County, AmDyne is providing construction management and inspection services for the South County Library renovation and meeting room addition. Our team provided Constructability Review, Project Support Services, Submittal Administration and Review and Inspection. Additional services included CM/CI service support with the general contractor for Start-Up Technical Assistance, development of the Operations and Maintenance Manual, Training Program and the Testing and Start-Up Plan.

Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Safety Program

AmDyne currently is a subcontractor to Century Engineering on Contract # MTA 0977C Construction Management and Inspection Services. We support the MTA with a safety inspector who provides assistance to the Resident Engineer by reviewing and amending Daily Safety Checklists to make applicable to current projects, identifies forms and reports required by Contract Documents. Our inspector attends project Monthly Safety Meetings and is the “first point of reference” for the Resident Engineer on safety related issues. Other duties include job site inspections at regular intervals in support of MTA Construction Field staff, auditing project logs, reports and forms for compliance and training of MTA Field staff based upon the Contract PSP, Contractor Safety Plan and OSHA Standard 29 CFR Part 1926.

Baltimore/Washington International Airport, Parking Garage

AmDyne provided engineering support to the design engineering firm responsible for the construction of the Elm Street Parking Garage at Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI).   AmDyne’s electrical inspector was responsible for conducting quality control inspections for a broad range of electrical construction being conducted at the garage site including intelligent transportation systems components. AmDyne engineers tracked change order requests, determining the validity of the change, evaluating technical details and completing cost takeoffs.  AmDyne then completes negotiations with the general contractor.

 

FBI Building, Quantico Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA  and EFA Chesapeake ROICC Office Quantico, VA

AmDyne was selected by EFA Chesapeake of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command to participate in a pilot project to provide project inspectors from our firm in lieu of government employees.  The project is construction of a new $26M, 153,000SF building in support of the FBI at Quantico, VA.  Construction began in October 2003 and is scheduled for completion in May 2005.  AmDyne is providing four inspectors and one administrative support person.  We have complete responsibility for inspection of all aspects of the construction. Responsible for Mechanical and Electrical elements as a member of Construction Management and QA/QC team responsible for the design/build construction of a 150,000 SF, 4 stories, structural steel frame with brick veneer facility for the Navy at Quantico, VA. Parking and Stormwater Management structures are included along with gas, water, sewer and electric service. Services provided to the Navy include implementation of the contractor QA plan, Quality Assurance, construction inspection and Design and Construction Management services.

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) Dulles International & Reagan National Airports

AmDyne provides construction management and engineering support services to an overall program management support services contract.  Engineering Programs include:

  • Roads and Parking; automated train service, new parking garages.
  • Airfield Improvements; runway extensions, new runways, passenger walkways, new air traffic control tower.
  • Infrastructure Improvements; concourse extension, terminal renovations, utility system upgrades including heating/cooling, water, and fueling.
